Does anyone have any thoughts or wisdom on the wearing of contact lenses and welding. I have a kid who wants to learn and wears contacts. What can I tell him. I thought I heard something in the past about NOT wearing them. Anyone?

Who here has used Fluxcore welding on pipe?

When I started welding I was told you COULD NOT weld carbon steel pipe with a fluxcore wire (Lincoln NR211 is what I use 99% of the time). Of course if you tell me I can not do something I am going to try it. Whoever said this can not be done is blowing smoke out his/her back end. Yes you can weld carbon steel pipe with fluxcore - root, hot pass and cap. No leaks no problem! Your thoughts................
